The Technical Instructor for the Snowflake Customer Education and Training Team will be responsible for delivering compelling education content and training that make complex concepts come alive in instructor-led classroom venues.
The technical instructor will be seen as a subject matter expert and leader in transferring knowledge of Snowflake to customers, partners, and internal staff, accelerating their technical on-boarding journey. This role will also be responsible helping to strategically ramp up multiple resources within our external stakeholders.

AS A TECHNICAL INSTRUCTOR AT SNOWFLAKE, YOU WILL:
Deliver Technical Training: Teach a wide array of technical courses to onboard customers, partners and employees to Snowflake AI Data Cloud.
Cover Course Scope: Deliver content ranging from foundational to advanced concepts, including modern data warehousing, AI workloads on data, advanced SQL, data consumption/connectivity, data integration, database security, performance optimization, and Cloud ecosystem topics.
Leverage Expertise: Apply deep database and data warehousing industry/domain knowledge during sessions to facilitate a smooth transition for customer and partner organizations into the Snowflake environment.
Hybrid Instruction: Deliver content both virtual and live courses using a variety of formats, including lectures, live demonstrations, and technical labs.
Content Collaboration: Work with enablement content developers to help prioritize, create, and publish training materials and hands-on exercises; drive continuous improvement of training performance.
Subject Matter Leadership: Work with additional Snowflake subject-matter-experts to create new education materials and updates to keep pace with product updates.
OUR IDEAL TECHNICAL INSTRUCTOR WILL HAVE:
Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English (professional working proficiency), with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages.
5+ years of relevant experience in technical content training development and delivery.
Strong presentation skills and proven success delivering first class multi-day training sessions.
Recent experience with using SQL, Python (for data tasks), and an understanding of AI features in a data context.
A strong desire and proven ability to teach and train technical content.
Prior experience with other databases (e.g., Oracle, IBM Netezza, Teradata).
Innovative and proactive, with the ability to pick up new technologies quickly, particularly around Snowflake’s evolving AI and developer tools.
A track record of delivering results in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Experience working cross-functionally, ideally with solution architects, technical writers, and support.
A strong sense of ownership and high attention to detail.
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent practical experience) in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related technical field.
Ability and willingness to travel, primarily within China, up to 75% of the time.
BONUS POINTS FOR EXPERIENCE WITH THE FOLLOWING:
Delivering training programs to mass audiences or large-scale technical workshops.
Experience with Python-based data processing or building simple data applications .
Familiarity with managing unstructured data (e.g., PDF or text processing).
Experience with other databases (e.g., Teradata, Netezza, Oracle, Redshift).
Knowledge of cloud data platform security and governance.
Experience and understanding of IaaS platforms (e.g., Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure).
SnowPro Core or Advanced certifications.
Proven success delivering first class multi-day training sessions.
